Ankle support made for 12-hour shifts on hard floors
For nurses, retail and warehouse staff, chefs and tradespeople who are on their feet all day and whose ankle has rolled over at least once. Here is what Signal-Lock does for that ankle.
Reacts sooner when your ankle starts to roll
After a sprain, the ankle's warning signal to the brain arrives late, which is why it keeps going over. A snug knit layer sends more position information up and two straps behind the heel give the foot something to lean on. In a 2026 clinical study, a soft ankle sleeve improved ankle position sense the moment it went on.
Stays in place for the whole shift
Worn over your sock and inside your own work shoes or trainers. The straps are sewn on, so nothing slips down, nothing peels off and nothing rubs under the arch. You soon forget you are even wearing it.

Won't cut off circulation or numb your toes
Most ankle sleeves only work by squeezing, so your toes go numb by the afternoon. Signal-Lock gets its hold from two straps you adjust yourself, so the knit can stay comfortable.
Less ankle swelling after a long day standing
In workers standing more than 8 hours a day, snug compression kept the lower leg from swelling over the shift. Signal-Lock puts that pressure right at the ankle, in line with the NHS advice to protect a rolled ankle with a support.
Signal-Lock vs compression socks, tape and rigid braces
Socks squeeze but don't hold the ankle. Tape peels off with sweat. Rigid braces hold but won't fit in a shoe. Signal-Lock is the only one that does all five.

Frequently asked questions
Isn't this just a sock with the toe cut off?
A sock squeezes. Signal-Lock does two things a sock can't: the knit layer keeps steady pressure on the skin so more position information reaches your brain, and the two straps give the foot something to lean on when it tips. That combination is what a late-signal ankle is missing. A sock with the toe cut off has neither.
My physio said a brace makes your ankle lazy. Won't this?
A rigid brace can, because it does the holding and the sensing for you. Signal-Lock does the opposite: it sends more information up, not less, and leaves your muscles doing the work. It's designed to support the ankle while you rebuild it, not instead of rebuilding it, which is exactly why The Hour-Nine Reset routine comes in the box. If you're seeing a physio, bring The Physio Prep Sheet and show them the sleeve.
Will it make my toes go numb?
It shouldn't, and here's why. The hold comes from the two straps, which you set. If the knit is snug and the straps are loose, you get the signal layer without the squeeze. If your toes tingle, loosen the straps a notch. The 20-Second Fitting Debrief shows the strap-tension check for wider feet.
Will it fit inside my trainers, work shoes or boots?
Yes. The knit is thin, the straps lie flat under the laces, and there's no thick seam under the arch. It goes inside most shoes, including trainers, work shoes and lace-up boots [measured thickness in mm to be added from the product spec].
I've got heel pain in the morning. Will it help with that?
Signal-Lock supports the heel and arch while you're on your feet, and the warmth and hold can make the first steps in the morning feel steadier. It doesn't repair the tissue. For heel pain that feels like walking on broken glass, the thing that changed outcomes in a clinical trial was heavy, slow strengthening, which is what The Hour-Nine Reset is built on. Wear the sleeve while you do it.
My ankle swells by the end of the shift. Does this help?
It helps limit it. In workers standing more than 8 hours a day, snug compression kept the leg from swelling up over the shift. Signal-Lock puts that pressure at the ankle, where you notice it. It won't make pain disappear, and we won't say it does.
Can I sleep in it?
Yes. Loosen the straps for the night fit, shown in the Fitting Debrief. Plenty of people wear it in bed after a roll, when the ankle feels least safe.
How do I wash it, and will the velcro last?
Hand wash cool, air dry, straps closed. The straps are stitched into the sleeve with reinforced seams rather than stuck on, which is the failure point on most cheap sleeves. If a seam or strap gives up within 60 days, that's covered by the guarantee.
